It took a day longer than I expected, but I finally managed to meet up with my friend Susan in Paris. We spent our first day exploring the Bastille market. Then we travelled to the Medieval city of Sarlat. I hope learn to format this new blog app soon!

Choral Evensong in Rochester, NY
Join us for Choral Evensong, tomorrow (Sunday) at 4:00 at Third Presbyterian Church, East Avenue at Meigs Street. The Choir, directed by Peter DuBois, will sing music by David Briggs, Benjamin Britten, Herbert Howells, Richard Shephard and Charles Villiers Stanford. This lovely late-afternoon service will be followed by a reception, featuring English Tea, biscuits and cucumber sandwiches!

Provence Overview
Avignon, in the heart of Provence, was the home to the Pope in the 14th century. It’s surrounded
I had always pictured rural France as nothing but green farmland dotted with cows and sheep; you see that too in Provence. It’s a mountainous region, with geological changes occurring with increases in altitude. In some places there are white rocky outcrops and in others you’ll find bright red clay soil. Gorges and cliffs are everywhere as you drive through the region.
